Gestational weight gain and long-term postpartum weight retention

Background: Excessive gestational weight gain is related to postpartum retention and multiple short- long-term adverse outcomes. These include pregnancy complications as preeclampsia higher rates of cesarean delivery morbidities future obesity metabolic syndrome.
